Addresses that are never mailed again
- A hard bounce, where the address does not exist or refuses mail for good. A temporary bounce, like a full mailbox, changes nothing.
- A spam report, when someone marks your mail as spam.
Both are added to your do-not-mail list for good. Campaigns and automations leave those people out, imports skip them, sign-ups from them are ignored, and the Sending API refuses to send to them. The contact shows as Bounced or Marked as spam.
When an account's sending is paused
Rykon Mail watches each account's last 24 hours of sending. If at least 100 messages were sent and 4 percent or more bounced, or 0.08 percent or more were reported as spam, that account's sending is paused. Only that account stops.
- Incoming mail keeps arriving.
- A campaign that is sending stops at its next batch, and automation emails wait.
- The Sending API refuses new messages.
Write to us from Help in the console. We look at what happened with you and resume sending. After a resume, the account is judged on what it sends from then on.
Other reasons sending can stop
- A payment more than 7 days overdue pauses sending until it is paid. See If a payment fails.
- If a domain's signing records are changed or removed, sending from that domain stops. Put the records back as shown in Domains, and tell us from Help.
