Publish your DNS records automatically
One click with providers that support it, a Cloudflare connection that keeps records right, or a zone file to import.

While a domain is waiting for its ownership record or its mail records, its page opens with Set it up automatically. The console first finds out where your DNS is hosted and says so, for example Your DNS is hosted at Cloudflare, with a link to open that provider. It then offers the ways that work for your provider.
One click with your DNS provider
Shown as One click with your provider, marked Fastest, when your provider supports applying Rykon Mail's records itself.
- Step 1: Choose Connect with your provider.
- Step 2: Sign in at your provider, review the changes on its own screen and approve them. We never see your password there.
- Step 3: You come back to the domain's page, which says the provider applied the records and that we are checking them now. If you declined, it says nothing was applied and you can try another way.
Connect Cloudflare
Shown when your DNS is at Cloudflare, marked Recommended. We add every record for you, check each one, and keep them right. Anything that would change a record you already have waits for your OK.
- Step 1: Choose Connect Cloudflare.
- Step 2: Follow Create a token in Cloudflare. The Edit zone DNS permission is already selected.
- Step 3: Under Zone Resources choose Include, Specific zone, and your domain. Create the token and copy it.
- Step 4: Paste it into the box and choose Connect and publish. The token is kept encrypted and used only for this domain.
Once connected, the card says Connected to Cloudflare and shows the zone and a hint of the token. Publish now publishes again straight away. If a change would replace one of your existing records, such as an old MX or SPF record, it appears under Needs your OK: tick each change you accept, then choose Apply approved changes.
Disconnect destroys the token. Records already published stay in place. If Cloudflare refuses the token later, the card shows Needs attention and offers Reconnect Cloudflare.
Import a file
Every record in one file, for providers that import zone files. Choose Download zone file, then import it at your provider. The console names the steps for the provider it found:
| Provider | Where to import |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Your domain, DNS, Records, then Import and Export, and Import DNS records. |
| GoDaddy | Your domain, DNS, then the menu beside Add New Record, and Import Zone File. |
| Amazon Route 53 | Your hosted zone, then Import zone file, and paste the file in. |
| Vercel | Your domain, then the menu beside DNS Records, and Import. |
| Azure | Run az network dns zone import with the downloaded file. |
| Gandi | Your domain, DNS Records, then Change to text mode, and paste the records in. |
| DNSimple | Your domain, DNS, then Import zone file. |
| Hetzner DNS | Your zone, then Import Zone File. |
