A sign-up form is the easiest way to grow your list: a link to share, or a box for your website. Everyone who joins arrives with the record of what they agreed to.
Make the form
- Step 1: Go to Audience and choose New sign-up form, or open the Sign-up forms tab and choose Create your first form.
- Step 2: Fill in the fields below. The preview beside them, How visitors see it, updates as you type.
- Step 3: Choose Create form.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Name, for you | Only your team sees it. Default: Newsletter. |
| Heading visitors see | Default: Stay in touch. |
| A line about what they will get | For example: News and offers, about once a month. |
| What they agree to | The words beside the consent checkbox, kept word for word with every contact as the record of their consent. |
| Button | Default: Subscribe. |
| Tags for new contacts | Up to 10, separated by spaces or commas. Campaigns and automations can use them. |
| Replies go to | The address replies to the confirmation email go to. |
| After signing up, send them to | An optional web address to send people to afterwards, like a thank-you page. |
| Only on these sites (optional) | Up to 20 sites the form may be embedded on. Leave empty to allow any site. |
| Message after they submit | Default: Thanks. Check your inbox to confirm. |
| Ask for their name | On by default. |
| Confirm by email first (recommended) | On by default. See Confirming sign-ups by email. |
