Schedule a message to send later

Write now and have it sent at a time you choose; change it, send it now or cancel it while it waits.

Updated 1 min read

  1. Step 1: Write the message as usual.
  2. Step 2: Choose the arrow beside Send, then Tomorrow morning, Tomorrow afternoon, Monday morning, or Pick a date and time.
  3. Step 3: It is scheduled at once. Undo in the message that appears brings it back to Drafts and opens it again; View opens it in Scheduled.

Scheduled

While anything waits, Scheduled appears under Sent, with how many. Open a message there to read it as it will go, and:

  • Edit opens it to change its words, people or attachments; Save keeps it scheduled.
  • Change time picks another time.
  • Send now sends it within moments.
  • The calendar with a cross cancels the schedule and keeps the message in Drafts.

A scheduled message is kept sealed by Rykon Mail until its time, not as a draft, so a phone cannot change it by accident. When it goes, it passes every check a message sent now passes.

If it could not be sent

If something stops it at its time (sending is paused on the account, or an address bounced for good), it is not sent and goes back to Drafts. Drafts then says, quietly at the top, which message was not sent and why, and Scheduled shows it as Not sent with the reason. Dismiss hides the note.
